Prom

Prom is tomorrow and im not really excited about it. It's going to rain ALL weekend and that just makes things nasty and just not enjoyable. Everythings going to get wet including everybodys clothes. Also we had planned on making a bonfire at my house for my friends to come to but now we can't do that.

Spring Break

Unlike everyone else in my serior class, I did not go to Panama or anywhere else for that matter. I stayed here in Owensboro and tried to make the best of it. Which is kind of hard when you hear about everyone having a good time down in Florida. Then on the first day back at school from spring break you have to hear all the crazy stories from everyone that went down there.

early memory

My earliest memory was when I watched my older sister wait for the school bus. I have no recolection of my current age at the time but it was before I had start pre-school. I would often go outside and watch her leave while I sat their with my mom. Sometimes I would ride the toy tractor on our front porch to pass the time.

blogging

I personally think that we have to blog way too much each month. I still dont see the exact purpose of blogging for English class in the first place. I dont think any students have learned anything from blogging besides that its annoying for a pretty low point grade.

Concerts

There was recently a local concert for the rock band Shinedown. Many people I know went to it and it makes me jelous because I really like the band. Also because I have never been to a real concert before in my life. I wonder if its as cool and exciting as everyone makes it out to be or if its not that great. I guess theres only one way to find out....

music

I think that listening to music while I work greatly improves my effiencity. I always seemed LESS distracted my having music playing in the background instead of no sound at all which kind of creeps me out. More teachers should let their students listen to music while they are doing an independent assignment.

High School

High school is.......just school. There is no need to compare school to something such as a jail or hell when its not. School defines itself and its the way it is no matter how the times change. High school is just the same as middle, primary, and other schools around the work.

sleep

I havent gotten enough sleep lately and its amazing how it affects your mood, attitude, and the way you talk. When you dont get enough sleep you usually get cranky and grumpy. This is true for me too like on school days. Sleep is very important to help keep us aware and readyto go in the morning.

First time driving

The first time I drove a car I can barely remember it because I was so young. My dad used me on the farm and as soon as I could reach the petals I was driving our truck. It was a 1992 blue Ford F-150 with a stick shift which isn't the easiest to learn when your little. My dad forced me to learn by leaving me in the middle of the field and telling me to bring the truck to him while he was working on the tractor. It probably took me 30 mins to drive half a mile over to my dad.

Cool Tech

The coolest piece of technology I have worked with would have to be on our John Deere tractor. We have recently installed a device that will track where you have planted and it will acutally guide you. Some models will drive the tractor for you and you don't have to do anything but turn around each time you get to the end of the field. The way GPS technology has advanced over the years is truly amazing.

I am gratful for...

I am gratful for my family being in good health along with myself. I am gratful for my friends and having both my parents still married. I am thankful for living on our farm and having a job. Living out in the country is great because I don't have any neighbors and there is so much space. I hope one day I can buy some of my dad's land and build a house for my own family.

Myspace

I haven't gotten onto myspace in what seems like forever. It has been atleast 3 months since I last logged in to it. I guess I've just grown out of myspace like many other seniors I know because its kind of childish. It's more directed towards younger kids rather than adults. Another reason is Facebook which seems to be a lot more popular than myspace is currently.

Facebook

Why does everyone have a Facebook these days? I just found out that my grandmother, mom, dad, and little sister all have their own page. I think that is just alittle bit crazy that my grandma has her own facebook because I have always thought of it as a teenager website. My mom uses facebook ALL the time and seems to everything everyone is doing on facebook. This scares me just enough to where I don't post anything anymore because I know my mom will be reading it.

Miracle

Today I watched the gold metal match of ice hockey between Canada and the USA. It was a really tense game with the USA coming back and scoring within the last 30 seconds to bring it into overtime. But in overtime Canada scored to end up with the gold. This really made me mad because I had just finished watching the movie Miracle. I wanted it to be just like in the movie.

Someone Bored

Jerry was lying on his bed looking up at the celing wishing for a miracle. A miracle such as having something to do besides nothing. Jerry's eyes are droopy and low from having his eyes shut for such a long time. He started off the day excited but after a few hours of nothing, he has become exausted.

Reason for Doing Nothing

There are plenty of good reasons to do nothing. One is a snow day which we have had many already this year. I am usually pretty lazy on snows days and instead of catching up on homework, I do absolutly nothing. Sometimes I brave the slick roads and drive to my girlfriends house to go sledding. Another good reason to do nothing is when your sick. When your sick you don't feel like doing much anyway and its usually helps you get better if u don't.

Riddle

As I was going to St. Ives, I pasted a man with 7 wives. The 7 wives had 7 sacks, 7 sacks had 7 cats, 7 cats had 7 kits. Kits, cats, sacks and wives, how many were going to St. Ives?

No More Ideas

I have officially run out of ideas to blog about for this month. I have been sitting here staring at the screen trying to think of SOMETHING to blog about. My efforts are useless because there is nothing to blog about anymore. I believe that in February I will get a fresh slate of ideas to talk on and on about.

1 hour delay

We for some reason have a one hour delay tomorrow because of the snow. Its kind of puzzling because the roads are all back to normal and no more snow is on the way. What is one extra hour going to do? We might as well be on normal day but I'm not going to complain the extra time off.

Winter Storm

That big snow storm finally came through Friday night and dumped four inches of snow. I woke up Saturday at my usual time for school and went out to do my chores. The deep snow made feeding and watering my dogs, cats, and quail a little harder. It also made transportation pretty difficult. I had to load down the bed of my F-250 heavy duty and throw it in four wheel drive just to get out of the driveway.

Disappointment

This whole everyone has been talking about all this snow we were soppossed to get. First it was all going to come wedsday night and be another ice storm like last year. Then when that didn't happen, rumors went around that we getting it thursday night. So this got me excited because I was expecting no school on friday but when I woke up, no snow. This forced me to hurriedly do my homework and to say the least, I was disappointed

Today's Lunch

On Friday's there is always a wide selection of food choices. You got your salads/subs, mama's kitchen, pizza/something else, and sandwiches. I usually like to go to the sandwich line for tots but this Friday I decided to get mama's kitchen and be surprised. And today's lunch consisted of bbq sandwiches and tots. Today I was blessed with tots and mac and cheese. My two favorite things!! I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into this wonderful lunch that I get for two dollars. Today was a great day.

Work

I really don't want to go to work today after school. I am currently employed for THA (Tony Huff and Assosiates) Enginerring. I work 6 days a week on the office for THA which used to be a house. So there has been alot of work to keep me busy over the past several months to get this office ready for business. We are almost done but I am starting to just get burned out on the house. But Im not complaining because its a way to make good money.

Bad ideas

Here are some bad ideas:
Going swimming in the Ohio River
Mudding on private property
Running from the cops
Eating moldy food
Jumping off a bridge
Trying to cheat on the ACT
Stealing a rifle from a cop car
Not wearing a seatbelt

Next 12 months

For the next twelve months a lot could happen. There are so many possibilities for this year that I can not name near all of them. I could be going on a mission trip this summer to Ecuador with my church. In a few months I will be graduating from high school which is a big deal for many people including myself. It is possible that I will be going to Panama Beach Florida for spring break and I could also be going to Disney World this summer. Hopefully I will be attending Western Kentucky University during the fall semester this year.

Supersitions

I don't believe supersitions are real. I think that people suffer bad luck or bad consiquences and they want to blame it on something else when its really their fault. It's all in their heads; if you think something bad is going to happen to you just because its friday the 13th then it will. If you go out looking or expecting something bad then you such as heck will find it. Some supersitions could be acts of God or just plain unlucky.

Quote

This past year of 2009 has been a great one. I have made more friends this year and become closer to the friends I already had. I believe I have matured more this past year than any others past. This past summer I met my current girlfriend of 6 months that has made my life alot more enjoyable. But even though I have had all these great memorys I've also had some hardships. Just before the summer during gym class I tore my ACL in my knee. This injury has prevented me from playing any sports for 6 months after my surgery. This meant not playing at all during my senior year of high school soccer. I love sports and to exercise and this misfortuate event took alot from me.
